That this House remembers with deep affection and admiration the life of Sir Frank Worrell, the first black captain of the West Indies cricket team; pays tribute to a world-class batsman and to one of the greatest leaders any sport has ever produced; notes that his helmsmanship turned the West Indies side into a truly commanding team for the first time; and mourns his premature death 50 years ago on 17 March 1967.
