That this House recognises the value of the food hygiene rating system which allows the public to make informed decisions about restaurants, pubs, cafés, takeaways, hotels, supermarkets and other food outlets; notes the importance of accessibility and visibility of hygiene scores in ensuring the greatest possible public engagement; calls on the Government to follow the example of the Welsh Government and introduce measures to make the display of food hygiene ratings compulsory at all relevant establishments; and urges the Government to strongly encourage the display of ratings on third party online delivery services.
