40th Anniversary Of The Massacre Of Elim Missionaries In The Vumba

That this House remembers and honours the memory of Elim missionaries Peter and Sandra McCann and their children Philip and Joy, Philip and Susanne Evans and their daughter Rebecca, Roy and Joyce Lynn and their daughter Pamela Grace and Wendy White, Catherine Picken and Mary Fisher who were slaughtered during their service to God in the Vumba on 23rd June 1978; extends to the families who remain most sincere sympathy coming up to the 40th anniversary of this atrocity; and reaffirms the work that these missionaries and others like them carry out to bring humanitarian aid, teaching and most importantly the Love of God to people throughout the world, thanking them for their service and love which makes this world a better place for so many.
