National Radio Station For Children

EDM number 129 in 1997-98, proposed by Jamie Cann on 17/06/1997.

That this House welcomes Children 2000's bid to establish Britain's, and the world's first national radio station for children on the newly available 225kHz long-wave frequency; considers such a station would be an invaluable contribution to children's education and development as acknowledged by the SCAA, the NSPCC, UNICEF and others; and urges the Radio Authority and the Government to explore this opportunity fully before awarding the vacant 225 kHz band.

This motion has been signed by a total of 44 MPs, 2 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
