Honourable Member For Foyle And The Right Honourable Member For Upper Bann And The Nobel Peace Prize

EDM number 1665 in 1997-98, proposed by Kevin McNamara on 20/10/1998.

That this House warmly congratulates the honourable Member for Foyle and the Right honourable Member for Upper Bann on their being awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace; believes that this reflects honour on all persons and parties on these islands and beyond who, in whatever way, participated in the Peace Process, not least the overwhelming majority of Irish people North and South who voted so emphatically for the Good Friday Agreement; and looks forward to the full implementation of the Agreement within the agreed timetable.

This motion has been signed by a total of 61 MPs, 6 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
