Visit Of Australian Cricket Team To The Houses Of Parliament

EDM number 292 in 1997-98, proposed by Colin Pickthall on 23/07/1997.

That this House notes with regret that only one playing member of the Australian cricket team turned up to the annual lunch hosted by the All-Party Cricket Committee for the visiting test team; whilst wishing the Australian team well, believes there is no doubt that honourable Members will now be strengthened in their desire to see England regain the Ashes; and wishes Mike Atherton and his team every success.

This motion has been signed by a total of 23 MPs.
