EDM number 480 in 1997-98, proposed by Jane Griffiths on 19/11/1997.

That this House deplores the growing misuse of dangerous and high powered laser pens to commit assaults, in particular on members of the emergency services; and urges the Government to bring forward measures to restrict the sale and use of laser pens in the interests of public safety.
