Use Of Domestic Animals For Fur

EDM number 389 in 1998-99, proposed by Nick Palmer on 04/03/1999.

That this House is appalled that millions of domestic animals are killed by cruel means to provide fur trimmings for the European and United States markets; urges the clothing industry to reject fur obtained from these sources; and urges the British and other European Union governments to require labelling to indicate the species used for any fur clothing.
