That this House congratulates Bexley Women's Aid on its 25th Anniversary; pays tribute to the dedicated volunteers and paid staff who have provided practical and emotional support to hundreds of women and children who have experienced domestic violence; acknowledges that domestic violence is a serious crime affecting thousands of women and children each year; gives its wholehearted support to the Bexley Women's Aid Campaign, and other similar campaigns across the country, to end domestic violence; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government and local authorities to do all they can to support Women's Aid and other campaigns to create a safer environment for women and children.
