Pensions Earnings Link

That this House urges the Secretary of State for Social Security to lay before the House as soon as he receives it the report on the cost of restoring the link between the basic pension and average earnings, prepared by the Government Actuary under section 36 of the Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000, so that it can be taken into account by honourable Members in considering the Government's proposals for increasing the pension in 2001.
