Campaign To Licence Exotic Animals In The UK

That this House is concerned about the rising number of abandoned exotic animals; notes that the RSPCA has rescued 3,761 exotic animals this year; welcomes the RSPCA Exotics Campaign 2000; and encourages the Government to introduce legislation requiring that species listed under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 are only sold to persons in possession of a dangerous wild animal licence.
