Recognition For Suez Veterans

EDM number 19 in 1999-00, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 17/11/1999.

That this House notes the service given to the United Kingdom by those who served in the British armed forces during the Suez Canal crisis; pays tribute to the efforts and sacrifices that were made by service personnel; and calls on the Government to give adequate recognition to the veterans of the crisis, and for those who died, in the form of an award or medal.
