Reform Of Liquor Licensing Laws

EDM number 254 in 1999-00, proposed by John Grogan on 12/01/2000.

That this House welcomes the Government's commitment to reform the liquor licensing laws; notes the Better Regulation Taskforce's conclusion that licensing laws should be relaxed; acknowledges that people in residential areas should be protected from noise and disruption; and calls upon the Government to bring forward the necessary legislation for the reform of the liquor licensing laws at the earliest opportunity.
