That this House notes that M.D. Foods have reported a 91 per cent. rise in pre-tax profits for the year to September 1999; understands that this was in part achieved by reduced procurement costs at a time when falling prices are driving many hard working decent people out of dairy farming altogether; and calls upon M.D. Foods and all milk buyers to support British farmers by paying a fair price for a quality British product.
