Price Of Beta Interferon

That this House is concerned by reports that beta interferon is assessed by NICE as not offering cost-effective clinical benefit at the current high price; notes that the product is sold by the manufacturers at markedly lower prices in a number of other countries; and urges NICE to include in its final assessment a consideration of what price level, if any, would cause it to take a favourable view, in order that the Government and manufacturers can discuss whether the current pricing can be reviewed if necessary.
