Display Of UK Flags On Car Registration Plates

EDM number 119 in 2000-01, proposed by Simon Thomas on 18/12/2000.

That this House notes with concern that it is at present illegal to display the Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish or United Kingdom flags on car registration plates; further notes that the display of the EU flag, together with the GB symbol, will be permissible in 2001; and calls upon the Government to remedy this anomaly.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
