SHOWMEN'S GUILD

EDM number 1252 in 2001-02, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 08/05/2002.

That this House congratulates the Showmen's Guild for the excellent work they do on behalf of all their members and for local communities through shows, fairs, fundraising on behalf of charities and entertaining young and old throughout the UK; notes the role they played in the Millennium celebrations; looks forward to the Showmen's Guild playing an active role in the Queens Golden Jubilee celebrations; and calls on local authorities to work with the Showmen's Guild in order to find sites for fairs and shows.
