Child Benefit Increase

EDM number 1319 in 2001-02, proposed by Lynne Jones on 15/05/2002.

That this House believes that the additional spending of ú2.45 billion on child tax credit proposed for 2003-04 would be more effectively spent on increasing child benefit by an additional ú3.70 a week for each child.
