EDM number 1602 in 2001-02, proposed by Tim Yeo on 10/07/2002.

That this House applauds the work of the British Hospitality Association in encouraging the highest possible standards in hotels and restaurants; commends the resiliance of the many small businesses which provide the backbone of the tourism industry in overcoming the problems of foot and mouth disease and the atrocities of last September; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to pursue policies which support the tourism industry by reducing the excessive burden of regulation.
