Door To Door Report

EDM number 1755 in 2001-02, proposed by Alan Meale on 16/10/2002.

That this House congratulates the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux on its publication of the 'Door to Door' Report about doorstep selling and the problems associated with such practices; agrees with its findings and recommendations for changes necessary to deal with the main problems consumers experience with doorstep sales, including unfair trading practices, inadequate cancellation rights, poor quality advice and the exploitation of vulnerable people; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to act immediately upon the Report's recommendations so as to protect the public from such bad practices.

This motion has been signed by a total of 56 MPs.
