Abm Treaty
EDM number 588 in 2001-02, proposed by Tony Lloyd on 13/12/2001.
That this House regrets the decision of the United States Government to abrogate the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty; is concerned that one of the existing obligations of nuclear powers to move towards a world free of weapons of mass destruction has been negated; recognises the message this gives globally to those developing such weapons; and calls on world leaders to recognise that now of all times is a period when co-operation and not unilateral action presents the most rational path to a more secure world.
This motion has been signed by a total of 65 MPs.
