Closure Of Newspapers Offices In Zimbabwe

EDM number 1705 in 2002-03, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 17/09/2003.

That this House notes the closure of the Daily News in Zimbabwe by the Supreme Court in that country; condemns the further erosion of the rights of many opposition groups in this denial of the basic freedom of the Press; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to make clear its opposition to such measures.

This motion has been signed by a total of 54 MPs.
