Biomass (No.2)

EDM number 61 in 2002-03, proposed by James Gray on 13/11/2002.

That this House recognises that energy from Biomass offers the world many benefits, such as hugely reducing greenhouse gas emissions; notes the significant environmental and economic benefits of using farm waste, such as poultry litter and slurry to produce energy; and acknowledges that on a broader scale, Biomass and specifically energy crops offer those is agriculture the option to diversify their activities and restructure their rural economies.

This motion has been signed by a total of 61 MPs.
