Support For National Pub Week

EDM number 674 in 2002-03, proposed by Ashok Kumar on 06/02/2003.

That this House notes the launch by CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, of their first ever National Pubs Week on Saturday 22nd February; is dismayed to learn from CAMRA's new research that an astonishing 20 pubs close every month and over a quarter of adults, 27 per cent., never visit a pub; gives its support to publicans throughout the UK for maintaining an important element in the lives of many British drinkers and non drinkers alike; encourages pubs throughout Britain to take part in National Pubs Week; and urges both members of the public and honourable Members to support their local public houses during National Pub Week.

This motion has been signed by a total of 37 MPs.
