Free Post To Soldiers Serving In Iraq
EDM number 1789 in 2003-04, proposed by Mike Weir on 25/10/2004.
That this House notes that many families have loved ones currently serving in Iraq and many of them will not return before Christmas; further notes that although parcels can be sent to serving soldiers from the sorting point in London free of charge, it can be costly to send such parcels to the sorting point; and calls upon the Government to introduce a scheme whereby family members can send parcels to soldiers serving in Iraq free of charge regardless of the place from where they send the parcel.
