Effective Listening To Children

EDM number 1812 in 2003-04, proposed by Hilton Dawson on 25/10/2004.

That this House commends the independent organisation Triangle and the NSPCC for enabling the All-Party Group for Children to receive a presentation from the the youngest group of children (aged 5 to 10 years) ever to communicate with honourable Members in Parliament; commends both organisations for their superb skill in communicating with very young children and children and young people with disabilities; and urges the Government to initiate a cultural transformation to develop the skills of adults to listen effectively to all children on the basis of rights, participation and respect.

This motion has been signed by a total of 52 MPs.
