Bollington Post Office, Bollington, Near Macclesfield

EDM number 144 in 2004-05, proposed by Nicholas Winterton on 23/11/2004.

That this House is concerned by the proposed closure of the Bollington Post Office near Macclesfield; recognises the vital importance of this post office in serving the local community of Bollington; urges the Government and Post Office Ltd to listen to the views of all local people during the consultation process and reverse the policy of closing sub-post offices; acknowledges that the Bollington Post Office provides the community with its only source of accessing vital services; and therefore calls upon the Government to accept the essential and continuing need for this and other sub-post offices throughout Macclesfield constituency to remain in operation.

This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
