Kids Company

EDM number 295 in 2004-05, proposed by Kate Hoey on 06/12/2004.

That this House notes and applauds the groundbreaking exhibition Shrinking Childhoods, resulting from the collaboration of the frontline children's charity, Kids Company and Tate Modern, opened by the Archbishop of Canterbury on 17th November, giving voice to the children's experience of deprivation and vulnerability within a system where adults have failed them; further believes there should be a national debate on the erosion of childhood in Britain today where more children end up on the Youth Offenders' Register than on the Child Protection Register; and urges all honourable Members of the House to see the exhibition before 17th February 2005.

This motion has been signed by a total of 39 MPs.
