Standing On Trains

EDM number 416 in 2004-05, proposed by Richard Younger-Ross on 16/12/2004.

That this House notes the gross overcrowding on many high speed rail services that leads to passenger standing for much and sometimes all of their journey; believes that this both provides a poor service and places passengers at greater risk of injury in case of accident; and calls upon the rail operating companies to move to seating only on such services.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
