Launch Of Airbus A380

EDM number 518 in 2004-05, proposed by Mark Tami on 17/01/2005.

That this House congratulates Airbus on the launch of the A380, the world's largest passenger airliner; welcomes the fact that the aircraft has already secured 149 firm orders from 14 major airlines; notes the considerable contribution of the 12,000 strong workforce and union representatives at Broughton and Filton to the project; and acknowledges the importance of Airbus to the UK economy in securing over 100,000 quality jobs in the United Kingdon.
