Hunting Act 2004

EDM number 617 in 2004-05, proposed by Alan Meale on 31/01/2005.

That this House notes the recent decision of the High Court to dismiss the challenge of the Countryside Alliance on the illegality of the Government's decision to use the Parliament Act 1949 to complete the passage of the Hunting Bill into law; and is dismayed that this body now plans both to seek further injunctions to delay this Act's important commencement and to mount and organise a series of illegal protests to disrupt the daily lives of UK citizens who have regularly indicated their wish for such barbaric practices to cease forthwith.

This motion has been signed by a total of 44 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
