Suez Medals And The 30 Day Consecutive Limit
EDM number 632 in 2004-05, proposed by Mark Oaten on 01/02/2005.
That this House welcomes the Government's decision to award medals for those involved in the Suez conflict, but calls on the Government to reconsider the decision to award medals only to those who served for 30 consecutive days, as this ignores many who served over 30 days but not consecutively; and believes that their service was just as great as those now being awarded medals.
