Banking Charges In Northern Ireland

EDM number 668 in 2004-05, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 07/02/2005.

That this House welcomes the announcement by the Northern Bank, following a recent consumer investigation into banking charges in Northern Ireland, that personal banking accounts will no longer be subject to fees and charges; and calls upon the other large banks currently operating in the Province, namely the Bank of Ireland, First Trust and Ulster, to offer similar facilities.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
