Supporting People Programme

EDM number 889 in 2004-05, proposed by David Laws on 10/03/2005.

That this House is concerned by the Government's plans to cut the grant for the Supporting People programme by five per cent. in 2005-06, including by 6.28 per cent. in Somerset alone; believes that this will undermine care standards for many elderly and vulnerable people; and calls upon the Government urgently to reconsider these cuts and those planned for 2006-07 and 2007-08.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
