Speed Limit On Lake Windermere

EDM number 1086 in 2005-06, proposed by Janet Anderson on 22/11/2005.

That this House notes that the bylaw to introduce a 10 mile an hour speed limit on Lake Windermere, which came into force on 29th March, has had a detrimental effect on tourism, sporting associations and the local economy; and calls on the Government to ask the Lake District National Parks Authority to work with all interested parties to find a managed solution, as has proved to be possible on the Norfolk Broads.

This motion has been signed by a total of 12 MPs.
