George Best (No. 2)

EDM number 1127 in 2005-06, proposed by Laurence Robertson on 28/11/2005.

That this House notes with sadness the death of George Best; recognises him as one of the greatest players ever to play the game of football; remembers with affection his many great performances and goals; particularly notes his contribution to Manchester United's European Cup triumph in 1968; and sends its deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

This motion has been signed by a total of 54 MPs.
