Stop-The-rot Campaign

EDM number 1765 in 2005-06, proposed by Ben Wallace on 07/03/2006.

That this House notes with alarm the latest figures produced by the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry showing that more than a third of five-year-old children in Lancaster and Wyre could be suffering from tooth decay; welcomes the Stop-the-Rot campaign started by North Lancashire dentist Graham Wilding which encourages nursery schools to abandon unhealthy food and to encourage children to brush their teeth after lunch; and calls on the Government to support this campaign and to allow primary school children to carry on brushing their teeth at lunchtime in the way they are increasingly being shown at nursery schools.

This motion has been signed by a total of 36 MPs.
