Second World War Evacuees

EDM number 2507 in 2005-06, proposed by Derek Conway on 05/07/2006.

That this House congratulates the Evacuees Reunion Association for its work on behalf of the 3.5 million British children evacuated during the Second World War; notes that there are 22 memorials dedicated to civilian groups in the UK; and urges that all those, with the power and opportunity, give support to the Association in its campaign to establish an appropriate evacuees' memorial so that today's children and future generations will learn about this important part of the UK's history.

This motion has been signed by a total of 49 MPs.
