Re-Building Of Southend Pier

EDM number 792 in 2005-06, proposed by James Duddridge on 18/10/2005.

That this House expresses its sadness at the fire that recently destroyed part of Southend Pier, resulting in the tragic loss of a long-standing national icon; praises the efforts of the firefighters involved; supports the aim of Southend Council to find funding to rectify the damage that occurred; and requests that the Government ensure that the pier is repaired and that the opportunity is used to return Southend Pier fully to its former glory.

This motion has been signed by a total of 38 MPs.
