Review Of Hm Revenue And Customs Office Closures

EDM number 1007 in 2006-07, proposed by Gregory Campbell on 28/02/2007.

That this House notes the recent announcement by the Government regarding the restructuring and closure of HM Revenue and Customs' offices across the United Kingdom, and the implications this will have for staff involved; and calls upon the Government to give serious consideration in Northern Ireland to the representations made under the formal consultation on the Equality Impact Assessment regarding the impact such closures would have on the predominantly female workforce that exists at many of the offices, particularly in Coleraine.

This motion has been signed by a total of 19 MPs.
