Health Provisions For The Elderly

EDM number 1012 in 2006-07, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 28/02/2007.

That this House notes with concern the current imbalance in health provisions for the elderly; expresses its concern at the postcode lottery which means that in some areas of the country one in 20,000 have their care home bill funded by the National Health Service; also notes with concern the estimate by Age Concern that 75,000 people who should have their bills paid are being forced to meet their own costs; and calls on the Government to redress this imbalance in health provisions for the elderly.

This motion has been signed by a total of 64 MPs.
