Reclamation Of Airport Tax From Ryanair
EDM number 1152 in 2006-07, proposed by Derek Wyatt on 19/03/2007.
That this House notes that it is impossible to reclaim United Kingdom airport tax paid to Ryanair when a United Kingdom citizen cancels a flight; further notes that it is extraordinarily difficult either to telephone or to e-mail Ryanair from its website www.ryanair.com to make a complaint; suggests that the cost of returning the United Kingdom tax to each air passenger is less than 10 pence per customer; and calls on the Government to seek legal redress to prevent Ryanair from flying from United Kingdom airports until this practice is reversed.
