250th ANNIVERSARY OF THE LORD MAYOR'S GOLDEN COACH

That this House notes that the golden coach of the Lord Mayor of London, built in 1757, celebrates its 250th anniversary this year; recognises that this magnificent carriage represents a priceless masterpiece, remarkable in its unique and distinctive beauty, and is a fine testament to British design and construction; further recognises the significance of the position of Lord Mayor of London and the important place that the office holds in the rich history of both London and England; and looks forward to the celebrations and pageantry of this year's Lord Mayor's show on Saturday 10th November.
