Eu Action On Exploitation Of Illegal Workers

EDM number 1515 in 2006-07, proposed by Keith Vaz on 18/05/2007.

That this House welcomes proposals of the European Commission to punish employers of illegal labour; notes that there are up to eight million illegal immigrants in the EU entering at a rate of up to 500,000 annually; believes that the use of illegal labour allows for a proliferation of low wages and poor working conditions; and further believes that this illegal migration can only be discouraged if firm action is taken at a European level.

This motion has been signed by a total of 59 MPs.
