Hm Revenue And Customs Job Cuts In Dundee
EDM number 155 in 2006-07, proposed by Stewart Hosie on 20/11/2006.
That this House is disappointed by the recent announcement from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) concerning the rationalisation of work which will result in up to 90 Civil Service jobs leaving Dundee; is disappointed by the way that the announcement was communicated to workers and their union representatives; calls on the Government to reverse the decision to centralise work and cut jobs; and agrees with the Public and Commercial Services Union that if further job losses occur, it will render the HMRC unfit for purpose.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
