Fairtrade Towns

EDM number 174 in 2006-07, proposed by Timothy Farron on 20/11/2006.

That this House commends Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria on its application to become a Fairtrade town; notes that the town is making good progress towards meeting the five criteria for Fairtrade town status; and celebrates the Fairtrade Town movement, which was started in May 2000 when Garstang in Lancashire declared itself the world's first Fairtrade town.

This motion has been signed by a total of 34 MPs.
