21st World Scout Jamboree

EDM number 1997 in 2006-07, proposed by Bob Russell on 24/07/2007.

That this House welcomes 40,000 scouts from more than 200 countries who will attend the 21st World Scout Jamboree to be held at Hylands Park, Essex, from 27th July to 8th August, which celebrates the centenary of the Scout movement founded by Lord Baden-Powell; congratulates all involved in organising the biggest camp ever held; and wishes Scouting further success as it begins the next 100 years of providing enjoyment and fulfilment for young people regardless of colour, class or creed.
