50th Anniversary Of Which? Organisation

EDM number 2054 in 2006-07, proposed by Sharon Hodgson on 08/10/2007.

That this House congratulates Which?, the consumers' champion, on its 50th anniversary; notes that it has grown from a garage in east London on 7th October 1957 to become a household name and the second largest national consumer organisation in the world with over one million customers; further notes that it is entirely independent of government and industry and exists only to make individuals as powerful as the organisations they have to deal with in their daily lives; encourages hon. Members to visit the Which? Upper Waiting Hall Exhibition from 15th to 19th October to see how Which? has successfully worked to improve consumers' daily lives over the last 50 years and its ambitions for the future; and wishes Which? well in its next 50 years.

This motion has been signed by a total of 124 MPs.
