PUBLIC INQUIRY INTO GOVERNMENT'S HEATHROW CONSULTATION

That this House notes the wide-ranging concerns which have been expressed by hon. Members and various community organisations and the reports in the media which have called into question the independence and quality of the recent consultation exercise undertaken by the Government on the expansion of Heathrow Airport; calls for an independent public inquiry to be established into the consultation exercise; and further calls upon the Government to await the outcome of this independent inquiry before any decision is taken on any possible further stage in the consideration of a third runway and sixth terminal at Heathrow.
