Armenian Genocide Of 1915

EDM number 1362 in 2007-08, proposed by Bob Spink on 21/04/2008.
Categorised under the topics of Eastern Europe, Europe, Human rights and Military operations.

That this House supports rational international deterrents to genocide; agrees with the argument powerfully made in the film, Screamers, that the failure of political leaders to acknowledge past genocides allows and enables further acts of genocide to be carried out with impunity; and therefore believes that Turkey should acknowledge the Armenian genocide of 1915.

This motion has been signed by a total of 20 MPs.
